How to Get to Balelangga Sapit, Suwela, East Lombok, NTB
Starting from Lombok International Airport (LOP) in Praya (About 1-1.5 Hours Drive)
From/To Airport Lombok – Sapit East Lombok
- Exit the Airport: Head south on Jalan Adi Sucipto toward the main road.
- Join the Main Highway: Turn right onto Jalan Ahmad Yani (Trans-Lombok Highway) and follow it east toward Mataram and East Lombok.
- Continue East: Drive about 50-60 km (30-40 miles) through Mataram and past Selong. Watch for signs to Suela District.
- Enter Suela and Balelangga Sapit: After Selong, turn south onto local roads toward Kecamatan Suela. Follow signs for Desa Balelangga Sapit.
- Final Approach: Use the Google Maps link for precise navigation. The village is rural, so roads may be narrow—drive cautiously to reach the exact spot.
Total Distance: ~70-80 km (45-50 miles).
Time: 1-1.5 hours by car; longer with traffic.
Tips: Rent a car or use Grab for taxis. Public buses to Selong, then local angkots or ojeks to Suwela.
Starting from Mataram City Center (About 45-60 Minutes Drive)
- Head East: From central Mataram, take Jalan Pejanggik or the bypass toward the Trans-Lombok Highway eastbound.
- Follow to Selong: Drive ~40 km east to Selong town in East Lombok.
- Turn South to Suela: In Selong, look for roads south to Kecamatan Suela and Desa Balelangga Sapit.
- Navigate to the Spot: Input the Google Maps link into your app for turn-by-turn. Roads are paved but winding in rural areas.
Total Distance: ~50 km (30 miles).
Time: 45-60 minutes.
Tips: Avoid peak traffic; use Google Maps or Waze for updates.
Public Transport Options
- From Mataram or Praya: Take a bus or angkot to Selong. From there, hire an ojek or angkot to Balelangga Sapit in Suela—ask for “Desa Balelangga Sapit, Suela.”
- From Airport: Shuttles or taxis to Mataram, then proceed as above.
- Cost Estimate: Bus/taxi ~50,000-100,000 IDR (US$3-7); ojek for last mile ~20,000-50,000 IDR.
